Lemon River Art Blog Post 1:

So, here we are! October 2024 - where does the time go!

The last two years have been a whirlwind. In August 2022 we moved back to the UK from a three year adventure in Hungary. What an amazing and beautiful country and culture!

We lived in Nyiregyhaza, in the north east of the country. Kev, my husband, got a teaching post at the University there, so off we went!

We gave up a lovely cottage in the north east of England, cleared it, sold stuff and left for Hungary with three suitcases.

At that time I had a great little art business. I taught printmaking / drawing evening classes in various community locations and also workshops from my home studio. I was involved with Teesdale Artist Network and exhibited my work on a regular basis. It was hard to leave this behind, but we had an adventure ahead!

Our adventure in Hungary started at Garibaldi Utca 25 for the first 5 months and then we moved to Stadion Utca 48.

Our second apartment was great and our neighbour, Nandi, was a colleague from the university and is now a very dear friend.
